Home Based Consultation ​

A Home Based Consultation includes:
  • ​A 60 minute appointment with a highly experienced Mental Health Social Worker at your home or an arranged private space.
  • A discussion of our service and how we help.
  • A client confidentiality & consent form.
  • A comprehensive initial assessment.
  • A Child School Refusal Assessment Survey - can be completed online prior to your appointment.
  • Treatment Plan Recommendations.
  • Discussion about our extended clinical role; engagement with the school, parents, Student welfare staff, GP.

Schedule a home based consultation

Each Home Based Consultation is 60 minutes long. The first session will include a Comprehensive Initial Assessment and Parent / Child interview. At the end of the first session you will receive feedback and recommendations for further treatment as part of an overall treatment plan. While a typical treatment plans require between 6 and 12 sessions, you can book a single appointment as we can progress from there.

Bayside School Refusal Clinic uses evidence-based therapeutic methods. We are Accredited Mental Health Social Worker's trained in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Social Skill Development, treatment for anxiety and depression, goal-setting, exposure therapy and strategic parent work and support.

Our role can extend to family sessions and clinician consultation with the school.

AUD $250.00 per session. Medicare Rebates Available.
