Our ClinicOur new office is located in St Kilda.
All current and future clinical sessions will be held at our new address: 20 Mitford Street, St Kilda VIC 3182 With concern for children, adolescents and their parents, our role is to empower each party towards the resolution of social, emotional and behavioural problems underlying your student's school refusal.
We specialise in working with those who live with anxiety and depression, school difficulties and family relational problems. Depending on the clients’ needs, we use a range of proven techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. We are passionate about supporting our clients and understand that the issues young people experience often occur in the context of their developmental, social and educational stages. We have an appreciation that effective treatment commences with developing a strong therapeutic relationship. |
|
We treat school refusal issues in school aged children and adolescents aged between 6-16 years of age. Our clinicians will work alongside schools, parents and with the young person. We seek the details and the big picture, whilst giving agency to all parties, in a coordinated effort towards an effective solution. A typical treatment for school refusal is between 6-10 sessions (Medicare rebates available). In these sessions, we will progress through three phases: (1) Assessment, (2) Treatment, and (3) Follow up.
We understand as you do, that another day away from school is unacceptable. So we built a clinic with affordable sessions and no wait list.
Helping young people return to school is at the heart of everything we do. So by incorporating leading research, technology and techniques into out clinic, we are able to reduce barriers to accessing effective treatment. | ||
