What is gaming addiction?
Gaming addiction is the compulsive and uncontrolled use of video games, in a way that causes problems in other areas of a persons life. These external problems can include sleep deficit, decrease in school/work engagement, social isolation and deterioration of mental health.

How we can help
Studies have shown that involving parents in the treatment of gaming addiction in children leads to more effective outcomes, and this is very much a part of our therapy process for gaming addiction. Along with working with the child to identify the impact their gaming is having on themselves and those around them, our method involves working with parents to develop the strategies and skills to set time limits, reduce screen time and incorporate more active, healthy interests.
